Warner Sallman (1892 - 1968). Warner Sallman was a Christian painter from Chicago. His portrait, The Head of Christ, has sold more than 500 million copies. Still today, it is a most beloved and sought after picture. It has hung in the homes of many parents, grand and great-grandparents and brings back special childhood memories. It radiates the love and holiness of Christ that we find in Scripture.
