By Eric Enstrom & Jack Garren.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever.
Psalm 107:1.
Black frame with silver antique finish and silver inner lip. 14 x 12 h.
Eric Enstrom's picture GRACE, shows an elderly peddler with head bowed in a prayer of thanks for a simple meal. This famous 1918 photo is known and loved throughout the world. Many today recognize this picture as one which hung on the wall of beloved grandparents in childhood days.
Jack Garren's GRATITUDE is the picture of a grandmother sitting at a bare table with her head bowed and hands folded over an open Bible. Also, on the table, are an antique pitcher and a wedge of cheese on a cutting board. The idea for this companion painting to GRACE came about in the 1960's. GRATITUDE sold 10,000 copies in the first two years and has been popular ever since.
